More David and Joe

itsjustgwenI have to admit that I was not in the right frame of mind to enjoy the Vancouver con. I had a few fun interludes with Wendy, Kim and Amie, but most of the weekend seems like a weird dream to me now. David and Joe were so incredible together that they shook me out of my stupor and made me briefly excited, David has such rubbery, mobile expressions that I got a lot of interesting shots of him.
He has lost some weight and looks really good. I think this short haircut flatters him, too. He spoke about Final Cut Pro, shooting his movie in Bulgaria, the difference between geeks, nerds, and dorks. He was good, but when Joe and he were together, it was great!
Someone asked them what they thought of each other when they first met. David said he saw Joe on video first, in a scene where Joe tripped and fell, then got up and kept right on going. He said that it was great that he kept on going, but he couldn't believe that they cast a klutz as the hero. Joe, of course, said that he did that on purpose, and it was a "choice".
Someone else asked what they liked the most about each other and what annoyed them the most. David said that the first thing Joe did to make him like him was to invite everyone to his place for whiskey and a Galaxy Quest viewing party. The funny thing was that David said, "We invited people to our place", first, and then amended it. Do you think he's teasing the slashers?. Also, when they were talking about how Joe refused to go to Bulgaria in the winter to be in David's movie, David said, "I'd have kept you warm!" Joe said that Jason really wanted him to go over there so they could meet up and have fun, but said they would be working 12 hour days and would be so tired that they would just want to go to bed. David made a funny face at that. It's kind of nice that he feels comfortable about the slash thing.
Joe was slightly more awkward when he was going for the teasing thing, but, hey, at least he tries. For his 'most annoying thing about David', he said David annoys him because he kisses too much, especially when he kisses Joe. And he said that David is a great kisser - 'just ask Paul!' When someone asked David about the wedding ring in 'Vegas', David said that was a conscious choice, and Joe teased that Paul was wearing the matching one.
