Wow! I'm getting excited. In addition to the Vancouver con, I've signed up for a PacifiCon, a slash-friendly multi-fandom con in Seattle. I twisted

mercury973 's arm, and she will be joining me in our quest to make more fandom friends and convert the world to McShep. I will be away from home quite a bit in April. Hopefully, my kids won't mind too much.

Now, I have to expand my horizons beyond my current fandoms: Stargate Atlantis, Stargate SG-1, Merlin, Star Trek and Torchwood - and familiarize myself with Hugh Dillon, Due South, Leverage, and White Collar. Who knows? Maybe I'll actually like some of it.

Not much happening around here. Jinx the wonder puppy chewed through my laptop power cord, so I'm going to have to spend $79 on a new one. Some of the people on my street are having a neighborhood party on Saturday night - pizza at my next door neighbor's and then dessert here at our house. The people two doors down are Russian, so we'll have a Russian professor, a mountain climber, an elderly widow, two retired civil servants and a deputy sheriff. Sounds like the characters from a murder mystery.
