Dreams

I hardly ever dream and remember it. That’s always bothered me because, on the rare occasion that I do remember dreams, they always seem interesting and significant to me. Last night was one of those rare times that I dreamed and remembered the dreams. First, I dreamed that I was at a park in Vancouver where SPN was doing a night shoot and I saw Jared and Jensen and some friends. We were all calmly chatting and it was a very pleasant dream. That one didn’t surprise me at all, as I had heard that SPN was shooting in a park that night and had been thinking about that before I went to bed.

Next, I dreamed that my husband and I were on a bus, walking down the aisle to get to our seats, and the bus was filled with (mostly dead) comedians, like Bob Hope, Dean Martin, Soupy Sales, and others that have already faded from my mind. When we took our seats, the comedians began speaking to us, joking and asking us questions. This dream was also pleasant, but much more surprising. I have no idea why I am dreaming about dead comedians, being on a bus, or even why my husband was with me in the dream. I don’t know what the significance of the dream was, but I did wake up in a good mood and stayed that way all day.

I’ve never had a problem with nightmares, and even dreams that are very serious in tone, like the time I dreamed that I was about to die because a plane was about to crash into the building I was in (this was before 9-11), never seem to be upsetting. I had that dream a few months after my mom’s death, while I was struggling with a lot of negative issues about death, and the way I felt in the dream - calm, resolved and just a little regretful -really helped me resolve some of my issues. I’ve read that dreams are one of the things our subconscious uses to work out problems, and that was really an example of that, for me. 

I just wish I remembered my dreams more often. How about you? Do you remember your dreams?

I rarely remember my dreams. I do know that I get some weird ones sometimes (probably most of the time)

very rarely.

Occasionally I'll wake up and go, 'I need to remember this!', and it will fade quickly - those dreams usually involve people I know doing unusual things. Actually - the rare one I do remember - would be a lot like the one you talk about -(for example) me and freinds - going to a reunion.. underwater, but the people I'm with, are not ones I went to school with. like that. but again, not that often.

I'm the outlier. My local friends dream a lot more, and remember a lot more.
